🎹 Kinga’s Piano School – Terms and Conditions


1. Enrollment and Fees

1.1. Students are enrolled on a termly basis (e.g., 10–12 weeks per term).
1.2. Full payment for the lesson/half term.term is due before each lesson unless a payment plan has been agreed upon in writing.
1.3. Lessons are offered in 30, 45, or 60-minute sessions.
1.4. Fees are non-refundable once the term has started, except under exceptional circumstances (see Cancellation Policy).

2. Lesson Attendance

2.1. Students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons.
2.2. If a student is late, the lesson will still end at the scheduled time.
2.3. If the teacher is late, the time will be made up or credited.
2.4. Regular attendance and practice are essential for student progress.

3. Cancellations, Sickness & Make-Up Lessons

3.1. Student Cancellations

  • At least 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule a lesson.
  • Lessons cancelled with proper notice may be rescheduled within the same term, subject to availability.
  • Missed lessons without notice are forfeited and not refunded.
  • In the event of sickness, lessons may be rescheduled, subject to availability.
  • No more than 2 reschedules are permitted per term.

3.2. Teacher Cancellations

  • If the teacher cancels a lesson, a make-up lesson or credit will be offered.
  • If a make-up cannot be arranged, a pro-rated refund or credit will be issued.

4. Termination of Lessons

4.1. A minimum of 2 weeks’ notice in writing is required if the student wishes to discontinue lessons.
4.2. Refunds for unused lessons after withdrawal may be considered only with proper notice and under exceptional circumstances.
4.3. The school reserves the right to discontinue lessons if a student repeatedly misses lessons, fails to pay fees, or displays disruptive behavior.

5. Holidays and Public Closures

5.1. The school observes public holidays and no lessons will be held during these times.
5.2. Lessons falling on public holidays will be rescheduled or credited.

6. Practice and Progress

6.1. Students are expected to practice regularly as advised by the teacher.
6.2. Parental involvement (for younger students) is encouraged to support progress.

7. Communication

7.1. All scheduling or cancellation requests must be made via email or official communication channels.
7.2. Teachers will provide periodic updates on student progress and are available for brief consultations.

8. Liability

8.1. The school is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage sustained on the premises or during online sessions.
8.2. Parents/guardians are responsible for the safety of minors before and after lessons.

9. Media and Privacy

9.1. Photos or videos of students may be used for promotional purposes only with written consent.
9.2. All personal information is handled in accordance with privacy laws and will not be shared with third parties.
